Destiny Africa Take Europe

Destiny Africa Children's Choir travel Europe performing 2016 'I Am Loved' tour

Some of you may have already taken your dancing shoes out and enjoyed an evening with our choir, but for those of you who haven't, Destiny Africa Children's Choir are back and they're back with style.
The tour started in March performing two concerts at Wembley Arena for 'Voice in a Million' in front of 4000 schools from all across the country. It was truly the best way to start the tour and set the tone for concerts to come. The choirs performance went down a storm and later they shared the stage  and met musical celebrities such as dance group Diversity!

Soon the choir were contacted by writers and directors of London stage show, Stomp, to invite them to enjoy a show with free tickets. Upon arriving the choir were given the best seats in the house and later were invited to sing and dance on stage with the cast!
The following weeks saw the choir enjoy tea in the Mayoral Offices with Mayor of Southwark, Cllr Dora Dixon-Fyle and perform in architecturally renowned tower, the Shard. The choir visited schools and churches throughout Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol and headed to Spring Harvest, to perform at a full house both at Minehead and Skegness venues. The children enjoyed an  iconic punt down the river and performance at Kings College in Cambridge and then travelled to Manchester to record new song 'Saved' (don't worry, we'll give you the first listen as soon as its ready)
In more recent weeks the choir have travelled a few hundreds miles across the pond to Brussels, Belgium and Germany where they have met our wonderful friends and are busy making new ones.
Soon the choir will be heading back to the UK to finish the final leg of the tour, if you haven't seen us yet you really don't want to miss their final performances. If you would like to find your Ugandan rhythm for a really great cause, you can pop over to our website and find a venue near you.
On our way back to Uganda we will have some spare suitcases, if you would like to help fill them we are welcoming donations for any musical instruments or equipment, school and casual shoes or clothing. We are also welcoming suitcases, sports clothing, schooling equipment, backpacks, towels, bedding sheets and board games. If you would like to donate please contact our head office by clicking here.

Thank you to all venues, supporters and volunteers who have made the tour such a success, please continue to keep us in your prayers and we hope to see you very soon!
